Family friendly or romantic breaks 

The Guesthouse East, set in the heart of Eastbourne just 50m from the beach and minutes from the pier, has six self catering, modern, stylish and spacious holiday suites.  Each boasts its own kitchen, ensuite bathroom and, of course, the usuals for 4 star, boutique hotel accommodation: TV/DVD player, free WiFi, hairdryer, fluffy white towels and toiletries.  We also provide a selection of complimentary teas (including herbal) and coffees – and little luxuries, like biscuits, choccies and even sweeties in rooms… well, you deserve it! They are ideal for self-catering, but we also offer delicious breakfasts for those preferring a b&b style break.

Suite 1 – romantic breaks

Suite one is ideal for couples on romantic breaks, with its stylish turquoise decor and a boutique hotel feel.  There’s a large, comfy super kingsize bed, leather sofa and space for a travel cot to accommodate small families.  The bathroom is extra large, with bath and shower overhead.  There’s also a modern galley kitchen for self catering and a fold-out table, so you can eat what you want, when you want to.

Suite 2 – friends or families

Suite two offers great family friendly accommodation.  It has twin beds that can be made into a kingsize, and a large comfy sofa bed.  At a push we can accommodate families of four by adding a fold-out bed, but expect to be a bit more cosy!  The kitchen has a small round table and is great for coffee and croissant or for making packed lunches for a day out on the beach.  Like suite one, the bathroom has a bath with shower overhead.  This suite has some lovely Victorian features and great big windows with a side sea view.

Suite 3 – couples or baby friendly

 Suite three is another that’s great for couples, but again is baby friendly with space for a travel cot.  Warm, natural hues give this elegant, spacious room a welcoming feel. Like suite two, suite three can be a twin or a comfortable kingsize.  The walk-in shower is powerful and the galley kitchen gives you the option to go self catering if you don’t want b&b accommodation.

Suite 4 – boutique hotel chic

Suite four is sensuous red.  Perfect for romantic breaks, this boutique room has a fantastic aspect with grand Victorian windows, and a side sea view. A drop-leaf table by the window means you can enjoy the view while eating, whether you choose self catering or b&b with breakfast delivered to your room.  Again, the bedroom can be a twin or a comfortable kingsize and there’s a single futon for smaller families.  

Suite 5 – peaceful oasis

Suite five is a warm, peaceful room at the back of the house.  A family friendly suite which can accomodate four, it boasts a super kingsize bed and a double futon which is ideal for the little ones.  There’s a large kitchen with a table to sit at which is ideal for self catering, and the spacious blue bathroom, with a lovely large shower, has light pouring in.  At the top of the building – this one is for those who don’t mind climbing stairs.

Suite 6 – family friendly space

Suite six is great for families – large and light with a side sea view.  With futons and fold out beds added, a family of four or five can fit into this suite.  The bed can be a kingsize or twin and the shower is powerful and big – no squeezing into tiny spaces here.  The kitchen is the largest of the six – it has a table and chairs with seating for four so is great for self catering.  Again a top-floor room, so stairs are involved.
